The Role
What you’ll be doing:
As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be working alongside the Security Operations Manager assisting with operational security priorities and contributing to security related project work.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), with the aim of achieving ISO27001 certification
• Maturing the configuration of technical Security tools within Brabners; contributing to Information Security initiatives/projects
• Actively monitoring security systems and tools; responding to alerts and escalating where required; Trend analysis and reporting, Participating in the management of Information Security incidents
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of Brabners Information Security posture; maintaining up to date knowledge of the latest threats and trends relevant to Brabners
• Contributing to the development of information security training and awareness activities
• Helps to identify, assess and manage risks within agreed frameworks, escalating where appropriate
Essential:
• 3 years+ experience working in a corporate Cybersecurity Function (IT Security or Information Security)
• Good understanding of network architecture and corresponding security controls
• A good understanding of implementing and maintaining firewall configurations
• A working knowledge of implementing and maintaining firewall configurations
• Experience of technical security controls associated with the secure implementation of SaaS applications such as M365. Similar experience of technical security controls associated with Azure workloads and other cloud services is desirable
• Ability to explain technical complex concepts to non-technical audiences combined with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Knowledge of all domains within security covering people, process and technology
Desirable
• Achieved or working towards an advanced information security qualification, e.g. CISSP, CISA, CRISC, Security+
• Experience of implementing or maintaining some of the following security compliance frameworks (PCIDSS, Cyber Essentials Plus, COBIT, NISTCSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, etc
• ServiceNow experience. • Experience with threat hunting in a corporate environment (Symantec Cloud or similar)
• Experience working with Netwrix, Symantec, Cisco products, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds
• Experience with Microsoft E5 licensing security functionality
• Experience working within the legal sector.
• Experience on a Change Advisory Board/Influencing a Change Advisory Board.
• Flexibility to occasionally work out of hours including evenings and weekends if required.
